Liz Bestic studied art at West Surrey College of Art & Design before training at the Sunday Times and embarking on a successful journalistic career.
In 1992 she returned to college part time and gained a diploma in printmaking with distinction at Sir John Cass School of Art in Whitechapel.
Whilst a member of the Cuckoo Farm Workshops near Colchester, for two years she focused on her particular printmaking technique of collography. Her love of the Suffolk countryside also inspired her to produce large textural abstract landscapes in acrylic on canvas.
Liz divides her time between writing and painting and is currently establishing her own printmaking studio in Woodbridge. Much of her work still reflects her urban roots but her prints, pastels and paintings all reflect the beauty of the Suffolk coastline near her home.
Liz has exhibited at the Benham Gallery, the Mercury Theatre in Colchester and the Studio Gallery at Pin Mill. She has also had two successful shows in London.
