Born in 1932, Michael Flint was a lawyer and a film production executive, with Paramount Pictures. He is now retired and lives in Orford, Suffolk where he devotes his time to art and writing.
In 1997, he had his first solo exhibition: of watercolours at the Aldeburgh Cinema Gallery in Suffolk, England.
His etchings, which are his preferred medium, have been widely exhibited. He has exhibited at Queen's College, Cambridge, the Aldeburgh Cinema Gallery, the Strand Gallery, the Peter Pears Gallery, with the Thackeray Gallery and with Philippe de Boucaud in Paris.
His etchings are to be found in private collections in the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, France, Finland, Denmark, and the USA. In 1999, he was commissioned by the Château de Montcaud Hotel, Bagnols-sur-Ceze, France, to make an etching of the hotel as their millennium present to their guests.
The Remakes and Sequels series of etchings, which were shown at his last show at the Strand Gallery, were inspired by graffiti that Michael has found in Suffolk churches and Orford Castle.
He is the Chairman of the Sudbourne Park Printmakers.
