Mike has recently retrained as a graphic designer having previously followed a career in communications and information security. His interest in printmaking was kindled during his recent studies which culminated in a dissertation entitled “Some Like it Rough ~ Texture and its place in Graphic Design”.
Mike is delighted to have been admitted to the Sudbourne Printmakers group where he is currently enjoying the company of his fellow artists and exploring the intricacies of woodblock printing. His particular interests lay in exploring the use of the medium for the development of imagery and typography in graphic design projects. He is inspired by the shape, perspective and shades seen in urban landscapes and how these impact on the behaviour and aspirations of those living in them.
Mike is a partner in the Reunion Gallery in Felixstowe. The gallery is known for its themed exhibitions and for its promotion of the work of new and emerging artists.
